At Ampere, we believe starting a company should be simple. That’s why we’ve created a process that makes company formation easy and efficient.
You can choose to either form a company or select a suitable package tailored for your new business.
Set up your company in just minutes and receive your Certificate of Incorporation within one business day.
Each and every incorporation service is undergoing testing with the Companies House.
Here’s a quick checklist to get started with Ampere:
Use our search tool to instantly check if your company name is available.
Provide a UK-based address to act as your company’s official point of contact for legal and administrative matters.
Be ready to supply the company officials full name, nationality, date of birth, residential address, and occupation.
A UK limited company can be set up with just one person who acts as both the sole director (who runs the business) and the sole shareholder (who owns it). With our simple registration process, all you need is the correct information, and we’ll register your new company with Companies House for you.
You’ll need these items:
1. Your unique company name
Use our search tool above and we’ll instantly tell you if your company name is available. Companies House will reject your name if it is not unique and does not meet government standards.
2. Registered office address
You can choose your home address or your business address (if you have a separate trading address). You can also use a virtual business address if you have one.
3. Describe nature of business
Your Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code defines your industry and the rules and regulations applied to your business. Make sure you pick the right code when registering your company. You will be able to chose several SIC codes during registration process.
4. Company Officials
Provide information about the director, shareholders and persons with significant control (PSC). You’ll need the name, nationality, date of birth, address and occupation of the director, shareholders and and PSC. This information is necessary to conduct legal checks.
Please prepare your passport or ID and proof of address for yourself. Your identity will need to be verified.
Not on paper – it’s all done online with a digital signature to make things simple. No printing or scanning required!
In many cases, Companies House will incorporate your company within one business day. Companies House typically incorporates most businesses within 48 hours. Please note that Companies House does not work on weekends so if you send an application on a Friday, it will take longer.
There is no difference between the name endings ‘Limited’ or ‘Ltd’, except for how they look. Companies House requires limited companies to have either Limited or Ltd at the end of the company name. By default we select Ltd, but you can also choose the ‘Limited’ option if you prefer.
You can form a UK Limited company even if you live outside the UK or are a non-UK national.
Directors and shareholders can be of any nationality and live anywhere in the world.
A UK Limited company must have a UK-registered office address, which can be a residential or virtual address. If you have access to a UK address and permission to use it, you can use it as your company’s registered office. You will receive official correspondence at this address.
If you’re a UK limited company registered with Companies House, you’ll need a business bank account. This is because a limited company is a separate legal entity from its owners and operates independently in financial matters.
Forming a company via Companies House fee is £50 (effective from 01/05/2024). At Ampere, you can choose to either just form a company or select our offer featuring a business account for your business. Up-to-date pricing details can be found in the Pricing section.
Yes. You can trust us to register your company because we are an authorised formation agent of Companies House and have secured integration with them.
If Companies House rejects your application to incorporate your business, we will refund the amount you paid straight to the method of payment you used the first time, as soon as we receive notification of the rejection.
